Me Made May 2019

May 1st marks the beginning of Me Made May 2019 hosted by Zoe. I took part last year and challenged myself to wear something me made every day in May. I was really chuffed that I managed do it. Some days felt like a bit of a cheat (the day I wore a home made badge for example). Some days I had to wear something I had worn earlier in the month, but do you know what? It was still made by me, and that is what it’s all about.

Over the last few weeks I have spent some time thinking about what my pledge for 2019 will be. My homemade wardrobe has grown significantly since this time last year, so I want to up the stakes and make it more challenging. I also want to get back into sewing for me. The kids have benefited from the sewing machines big time over the last few months, and I feel it’s time to do a spot of selfish sewing again.

So, after much deliberation and discussion with The Dog I finally settled on my pledge for Me Made May 2019.

‘I, Rosie, sign up as a participant of Me-Made-May 2019. I endeavour to wear a me made item every day, plus at least one entire me made outfit* a week during May 2019’

*An entire me made outfit does NOT necessarily include underwear/tights. Just to be clear.

So, are you joining in with Me Made May 2019? What will your pledge be?
