crochet mermaid tail

You know how some people are super organised and get Christmas sorted by August? Yeah. I’m not one of those people. However, a few weeks ago, I was contacted by someone who clearly is one of those people. She asked me if I could make her granddaughter a crochet mermaid tail as part of her Christmas present.

Well, of course I can.

I found a yarn that is a beautiful shade of aqua, and is warm and snugly. Perfect for winter mornings curled up on the sofa.

I used a pattern I have used before from here. Because it uses two strands of bulky yarn, the mermaid tail quickly took shape.

I am really pleased with how this mermaid tail turned out, and am looking forward to finding out what it’s new owner thinks of it. Although obviously this won’t be until after Christmas.
